Limestone

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate : CaCO3). The deposition of limestone strata is often a by-product and indicator of biological activity in the geologic record.

Limestone are a very finely grained stone with a high calcite content also containing halite and gypsum minerals. Some stones contain siliceous crystalline granules. Limestone is an important stone for masonry and architecture, vying with only basalt and sandstone to be the most commonly used architectural stone.

Suitable for Carving, Ornament, striking wall application and floor that in low traffic application.
